Your curiosity.
Your choices.

Signing up

The signup form records interest in a future weekly Bronze & Lore digest. It asks for an email address and permission to receive that digest when available. A separate, optional choice covers future collection concept and sample updates. Neither box is checked for you.

Email delivery is not enabled. Submitting this form saves your request and preferences in our website database; it does not send a confirmation, newsletter, or marketing email.

The free field guide

You can download Ancient World Field Notes directly without joining the email list. Signing up is a separate choice.

Reader voting

The reader poll uses a browser cookie to remember one changeable vote for up to a year. We store a hashed identifier and your chosen topic, and show aggregate totals. Clearing cookies or using a different browser can create another vote. Voting does not require an email address.

Storage and delivery

We store signup addresses, consent dates, subscription status, and collection preferences in the website database hosted through Cloudflare. Short-lived hashed network identifiers help limit automated form abuse. No signup addresses or message content are currently sent to an email-delivery provider. Any future activation requires a separate setup and confirmation process.

Email preferences

Registration records interest and does not activate delivery. If email delivery opens, a confirmation step will be required before digests are sent, and those messages will include an unsubscribe link. Collection interest is optional and recorded separately.
